La SLA induit une perte progressive des capacités motrices sans atteinte sensitive et, pour un certain nombre de patients, en toute lucidité. Elle induit des tensions psychologiques extrêmes pour la personne malade et tous ceux que la côtoient. Nous illustrerons le propos d’une situation clinique. Au cours de séjours de répit en unité de soins palliatifs (USP), une lecture des soins est abordée sous l’angle de la psychomotricité. Si le corps attaqué par la maladie fait trembler la totalité de l’être, les soins au corps (relaxation et balnéothérapie) peuvent aider à en apaiser les secousses ressenties, soins pensés dans une approche transdisciplinaire. La base de ce travail en psychomotricité met en évidence l’étayage de la psyché à partir des expériences sensorimotrices.

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis causes progressive loss of motor capacities without affecting the sensorial functions. This syndrome causes extreme psychological stress for the person affected and for the entourage. This specific work is illustrated by a clinical example. During stays in palliative care units, the patient is treated through a psychomotoricity angle. If the disease attacks the body and shakes the entire foundation of the human being, the care administered to the body, in an interdisciplinary approach (relaxation and balneotherapy), can help to sooth the patient. The foundations of this work in psychomotoricity highlights the support of the psyche based on sensorial and motoricity experiments.
