La radiothérapie peut se compliquer de manifestations neurologiques, précoces ou tardives, de localisation centrale ou périphérique.

Nous rapportons trois cas de neuropathie motrice pure observés plusieurs années après une radiothérapie pour lymphome de Hodgkin ou séminome testiculaire.

Trois patients (une femme et deux hommes) âgés de 35 à 65 ans ont présenté une neuropathie motrice pure dans un délai de 8,5 à 21 ans après une radiothérapie pour lymphome de Hodgkin (deux cas) ou séminome testiculaire (un cas). Dans tous les cas, il s'agissait d'un déficit proximodistal, à nette prédominance proximale, confirmé par l'électroneuromyogramme. Après une phase d'installation progressive, l'évolution s'est faite vers la stabilité avec un traitement par anticoagulant dans un cas et par pentoxifylline dans deux cas.

La neuropathie motrice pure représente une complication rare, et généralement tardive, de la radiothérapie. En l'absence de consensus thérapeutique, un traitement par anticoagulant ou par pentoxifylline, en association à du tocophérol, a été proposé.

We report three cases of pure motor neuropathy in patients, which were treated by X-ray treatment several years ago.

Three patients (35-65 years old) have been presenting a pure motor neuropathy between 8.5 and 21 years after radiotherapy for Hodgkin disease (two cases) or testicular seminoma (one case). In each case, a proximodistal weakness with proximal predominance was observed and confirmed by the electromyographic findings. After a gradual worsening, we observed a clinical stability in patients treated by anticoagulant (one case) or pentoxifylline (two cases).

Pure motor neuropathy is a rare and late complication of the radiotherapy. A treatment with anticoagulant or pentoxifylline, with or without tocopherol, has been suggested.
