Nous rapportons trois observations de nœuds après cathétérisme périnerveux. L’ablation du cathéter a été impossible et a nécessité l’intervention d’un anesthésiste. Cette complication doit être connue et incluse dans la formation des médecins et des infirmières. Cette technique d’analgésie est couramment utilisée pour le traitement de la douleur aiguë postopératoire et commence à l’être pour le traitement de la douleur chronique rebelle. L’ablation du cathéter doit être prévue dans un protocole. Une solution pourrait être l’utilisation d’un réseau de soins pour répondre à toutes les complications qui arrivent en ambulatoire lors de l’utilisation des blocs nerveux continus.

We observed three cases of knots after peripheral nerve catheterism. Catheter removal was impossible and required the intervention of an anaesthetist. This complication should be known and included in the training of nurses. The analgesic technique by peripheral nerve catheter is currently used for the treatment of acute postoperative pain and starts to be used for the treatment of chronic pain. The catheter removal should be included in a protocol. One solution might be the use of a network to meet all the complications that happen in continuous peripheral nerve blocks, particularly at home.
