• | Serum Lp(a) level displayed a significant increase in HCV patients achieving an SVR with direct-acting antivirals. |
• | Lp(a) values showed no significant association with either the SNP at rs3798220 or (TTTTA)n repeat polymorphisms. |
• | The impact of higher Lp(a) values and clinical outcomes, such as the risk of cardiovascular events or carcinogenesis, requires further investigation. |
