Women with neurologic disabilities exhibit a wide range of effects on their sexual functions, based on the location and degree of their neurologic dysfunction. With the exception of spinal cord injuries, little is known about the impact of neurologic disabilities on sexual response. In this article, current information about neurologic disabilities and female sexual functions is reviewed. Potential future therapies and research recommendations also are discussed in this article.
