• | Elevated CSF 9-CMMG levels (metabolite of acyclovir) confirm the diagnosis. |
• | Treatment of AIN includes discontinuation of acyclovir and hemodialysis. |
• | With proper renal dosing, AIN is an easily preventable condition. |
