Evaluation of the pregnant patient with pruritus and clinical findings suggestive of cutaneous disease can be challenging. This article outlines recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of atopic dermatitis, urticaria, and hereditary angioedema in pregnancy and suggests educational resources to supplement physician answers to the patient's concerns, such as: “How will the condition affect my unborn baby? Will the treatment harm my baby?”
