Malgré cette relative rareté, chacun a conscience du risque vital encouru par le patient présentant cette manifestation parfois fulminante. Il est donc intéressant de revenir sur la physiopathologie ainsi que sur les récentes données épidémiologiques et recommandations d’experts concernant cette complication.

During their career, few anesthesiologists or nurse anesthetists will have the opportunity to be confronted with a peranesthetic malignant hyperthermia crisis. In spite of this relative rarity, everyone is aware of the vital risk incurred by the patient presenting this sometimes fulminant manifestation. It is therefore interesting to review the pathophysiology as well as the recent epidemiological data and expert recommendations concerning this complication.
