Setting Up a Child-Friendly Sleep Laboratory - 31/05/14
Résumé |
For sleep laboratories currently accepting or considering accepting pediatric patients, several key aspects of the structure and processes should be considered that will provide the basic underpinnings necessary for a cohesive team approach. This team approach is critical for the successful operation and function of a pediatric sleep laboratory. There is overlap of adult and pediatric polysomnographic processes but fundamental differences exist as well. These differences can be found in environmental and safety conditions, scheduling concerns, and technological approaches and methodologies. Within this framework are key aspects known to provide an accurate and appropriate diagnosis for children with suspected sleep disorders.
