Résumé |
Objectifs |
Seamless PACS intégration of collecting radiological and other images into a Teaching File Solution using the IHE TCE profile (Teaching File and Clinical Study Export).
Matériels et méthodes |
IHE TCE describes different roles in the context of a Teaching File. One is the RECEIVER, which includes the database itself. Herefore, MIRC from RSNA is used. For the SELECTOR, which is the link between PACS and MIRC, a special add-on was developed. This could be integrated with any PACS or workstation, which provides the DICOM Send function.
Résultats |
With the SELECTOR it is very easy to mark and collect relevant studies or images while the radiological reprorting process. This improves the workflow to build a Teaching File including a structured categorisation of important informations. Thèse includes e. g. category, anatomy, findings, keywords and so on. It is possible to reflect on a standardized lexicon in this process (RadLex e. g.). While the first month of use, it was possible to include more than 200 cases.
Conclusion |
IHE TCE is a useful profile for radiological departments. A universal intégration with PACS is possible. The database could be used for teaching médical students and could be shared with other departments.
