Abstract |
The question of accommodation is crucial for the elderly; most of them wish to stay at home as long as possible [[1]]. The concept of “living at home” [[2]] is for them synonymous with well-being because it allows them to maintain their lifestyle and social ties with their family and friends. However, a problem arises because of the gradual deterioration of their abilities; hence the need for them to remain at home in optimal safety conditions. In order to fully protect this demographic; telemonitoring gerontechnology appears to be a future solution to this problem, while improving comfort of life, management, autonomy and eliminating the constraints of travel and distance. While the utility of this technology has been demonstrated, the focus here is on the fact that the conditions for development and use of this technology involve user acceptability and the ability to meet their expectations.
